Supply Chain

Purchase all types of goods and services in ION

You can purchase any type of good in ION, whether that is inventoried items, physical services like anodizing or heat treatment, software and digital services, office equipment and supplies, capital assets, and more! These can be summed up into three main types of purchase lines:

• Creates inventory (i.e. manufacturing materials and parts)
• Does not create inventory and is physically received (i.e. office equipment or physical services)
• Does not create inventory and is digitally received (i.e. software)

Improved Standard Step Nesting UX

For users with access to the Beta nested step functionality, this update refines the UI to better guide users when nesting standard steps. Check out the ION Manual for more on this feature.

Understand Offending Part Relationships On Issues

Understand inventory relationships in your quality workflows:

• Installed On field: On the Issues page, you can now see which higher-level assembly a faulty part is installed on, displayed to the right of the inventory line item.
• Offending Part badge ("OP"): Identify the component causing the issue when both the assembly-level and component-level parts are included on the ticket, providing clear guidance for your resolution process.
• Leverage this new understanding and deploy the “ Autogenerate Child Issue for Remove and Replace Dispositions” from the ION Marketplace today to automate the flow documented here.

• Faster Navigation: Locate information and pages 3–5x faster by simply typing keywords into the ION search bar.
• Powerful Search Capabilities: Quickly access relevant data for specific parts, issues, runs, locations, procedures, or purchases.
• Quick Access to Recents: Your most visited pages are saved, making it effortless to jump back to frequently used content.
• Integrated Analytics Dashboards: We’ve added many common Analytics dashboards to the search, putting key insights just a few keystrokes away.

ION Marketplace

Cofactr Integration

The Cofactr integration allows hardware manufacturers to combine ION's inventory & factory-floor management capabilities with Cofactr's AI-assisted materials purchasing and supply chain risk management platform. With bi-directional syncing of Parts, BOMs, Suppliers, Purchase Orders, and Receiving status, manufacturers can seamlessly manage their factory operations in ION, while their engineering, procurement, and finance teams leverage the efficiency of Cofactr for design for supply chain resilience, automated buying, open order management, and AP reconciliation.

Other fixes and improvements:

• Always allow creation of runs from Further Actions that'll help define the resolution actions to take
• Isolated network load errors to specifically iOS 18 on iPads. Try downgrading the iOS version or follow the prompts on the improved error message when this occurs.
• When deleting a step on the Procedures page, users no longer encounter a "something went wrong" error screen
• Standard step titles in the queue sidebar always display the most recently released version's title
• Fixed ability to move a mBOM from draft to released
• Added count of attached redlines to Run Step at all times
• You are now able to receive against purchase orders with over 40 lines
